"During the late 80's Brian and I
discussed the need for a means of reducing plant stock damage by wind in
plant display areas. In fact while on a Study Tour to the East Coast of
the USA with the HTA, several growers commented that they had hoped to
see some 'magic formula' being used by the Americans for this problem.
Nothing much happened until early this
year when Brian turned up and said 'try this' (a simple plastic device
of which I was skeptical).
However I tried this product by putting
one plant in the TPS amongst 40 others, after a few weeks,
February/March period I went back to have a look, the only one left
standing was in the TPS.
I ordered 1000. Within a month I
re-ordered more. My plants displayed in the TPS have sold faster and
customers are now asking if they can buy Terracotta coloured ones for
their pots on patios.
The next size up, which I know is in
the pipe-line for later this year will be a terrific help with
displaying trees and large shrubs and will certainly overcome customer resistance
to untying plants.
As I display in excess of 25,000 tress
and shrubs I will need more of the TPS and have included this product in
my annual budget."
